Anoop Menon's Buddy releasing tomorrow
Buddy movie is all set to get released tomorrow, July 5th. Anoop Menon is set to play a father's role once again. Buddy has a huge star cast. Bhumika Chawla, Asha Sharath, Kamalini Mukherji, Urvashi, Remya Nambeesan, Babu Antony, Aju Varghese, TG Ravi, Arun, Shankar Ramakrishnan and Anil Murali are playing prominent roles. Buddy will also mark the comeback of Balachandra Menon to the big screen after a hiatus. A newcomer will play Anoop's son, which will be held in Kerala and Dubai. The movie, which is being told from the perspective of two women, will have Anoop playing a 48-year-old father of Kunju aka Buddy. Buddy is about the journey of a son who goes to the Eden in search of his father. The story takes a new turn following an incident in their life. The flick throws light on the power of motherhood as well. Debutante Raaj Prabhavathy Menon is the writer and director of the film. It has its music scored by Navneet Sunder and cinematography by Prakash Kutty. The movie is produced by Augustine Jackson.
God for Sale in theatres
Scenarist and director Babu Janaradhanan`s God for Sale: Daivam Vilpanakku is releasing today (June 28).
The film has Kunchacko Boban, Anumol and Jyothi Krishna in the lead roles.
The film has been produced by Saleem P T. The cinematographer is Sinu Sidharth and the music director is Afsal Yusuf.
The film is said to be a take on the god men and the exploitation existing in the name of religion. Kunchacko`s character is reportedly based on a fraud god man, who was arrested by the cops on certain cheating charges.
Ayaal reaches the cinemas
Director Suresh Unnithan has directed Ayaal, which features Lal, Iniya, Lakshmi Sharma and Lena in the lead roles.
Produced under the banner of Sea Shell movies in association with Elements Vision, the film was earlier called Nagabandham. The script has been penned by Dr.K Ambady.
Sujith Vasudev wields the camera and Mohan Sithara scores the music.
The film is set in the 1950s and the film uses serpentine worship as its backdrop. The ascribed divinity of Gurudasan, the protagonist played by Lal, made him unquestioned in his community. But certain unprecedented events shattered it all.
The film is said to explore the definitions of love.
Paisa Paisa to release today
Ad filmmaker Prasanth Murali makes his debut with Paisa Paisa, releasing this weekend.
The film stars Indrajith, Mamta Mohandas, Aju Varghese, Kaadhal Sandhya and Daniel Balaji.
The film interconnects the lives of a few, as they all run frantically in the search of a rather not so big amount. Balu (Aju Varghese) is in Chennai for an interview, while his friend Kishore (Indrajith) is trying desperately to save his marriage to Soorya (Mamta Mohandas).
Paisa Paisa has been produced by Raj Zacharias under the banner of Celebs & Red Carpets. Kishore Mani is the cinematographer and Aby Salvin is the music director.
Mohanlal as Happy Singh!
Mohanlal is all set to play the role of a Sardarji who comes to Kerala to learn wrestling in director V M Vinu's Happy Singh.
The film is being produced by Aroma Mani and has been scripted by Tejabhai director Dipu Karunakaran.
Happy Singh is said to be a laugh riot and withPunjabi House and Mallu Singh becoming hits, Vinu feels that this one could set the cash registers ringing. Vinu had given a comeback for Mohanlal with Balettan in 2003, when the superstar was going through a rough patch in his career.
The shooting will be done at Punjab, Bangalore and Thirunelveli.
Nivin and Nazriya are back as a pair!
Nivin Pauly and Nazriya Nazim have been well appreciated as a pair, first in the music album titled Yuvhh and then, in the recent hit Neram. The film has been appreciated in Malayalam and Tamil.
The pair will be seen again in a forthcoming film titled Om Shanthi Hosanna, directed by debutant Lijo, who has earlier assisted Vineeth Sreenivasan. The film has been scripted by Tamil scenarist Jeyamohan of Ozhimuri fame.
Nivin Pauly has completed Arikil Oraal and is shooting for 1983. He plays the lead in Sameer Thahir's film, Esha, in the five film anthology, 5 Sundarikal.
`Deivathinte Swantham Cleetus`
Mammootty is playing a professional drama actor in debutant Marthandan`sDeivathinte Swantham Cleetus. In the film Mammootty plays the central character in the play of Cleetus, who resembles Jesus Christ with his long flowing hair and beard.
Throughout the film his character wears only white `Mundu & Jubba`. Honey Rose will play heroine and in the supporting cast are Siddique, Sooraj Venjaranmoodu, Thensi Khan.
